Guy founded, and until February 2014 was chief executive of, Mayfair Capital a property investment fund management business which manages over £900m AUM on behalf of charities, private clients and institutions.
Prior to that he spent 25 years in commercial property investment, including establishing a highly successful property investment brokerage team at JLL.
As one of the founders of BDL, BCL’s original parent company, Alan has been one of the creative forces behind the success and growth of the Barwood stable of companies over the last 20 years.
Alan has more than 45 years’ regional property development, investment and asset management experience and has delivered more than 4.5 million square feet of exciting and entrepreneurial commercial property schemes worth over £600 million.
Jo has taken a leading role in the creation and growth of Barwood Capital, Barwood Homes and Barwood Land since joining Barwood as Group Finance Director in 2006. Jo’s strengths lie in strategic and financial analysis and control, and she believes strongly in open and transparent communication.
Jo began her career at Ernst & Young before joining Reuters to create and manage an in-house global mergers and acquisitions team.
Hugh has a wealth of experience, with over 29 years in the real estate market. He has been involved in a wide range of areas, from investment and development, the sourcing of debt, fund management and equity raising, through to the structuring of transactions. He has carried out these roles across all the main property sectors in both the UK and continental Europe, including more recently the build to rent sector.
Hugh joined Barwood Capital from Rockspring where he was a Partner, responsible for the company’s transactional activities in the UK and France.
Ed specialises in investing in and managing commercial property in the UK regions and has an extensive network of regional contacts.
He has over 16 years’ property experience, having been Head of Property at Hotbed and a Partner at Riverside Capital, where he was responsible for the management and growth of a £250 million commercial property portfolio across the UK and Channel Islands.
Andrew has a wide range of expertise and 15 years’ experience in commercial property investment, asset management and development.
Prior to joining Barwood, Andrew was a Managing Director at MEPC and responsible for the asset management and development of mixed-use business parks with a combined value of £600 million. Previously he was a Director of Acquisitions and Development at ING Real Estate Investment Management.
Steve has over 30 years’ experience in commercial and corporate banking and has strong personal relationships with senior executives at a significant number of traditional and new debt providers. He is leading Barwood Capital’s expansion in residential development.
Danielle specialises in the asset management of property across all sectors, mainly but not exclusively, in the Midlands and has over 15 years of commercial property experience.
Danielle is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and was previously a Regional Director at Lambert Smith Hampton and at Millar Kitching, where she was responsible for the asset and investment management of a UK wide commercial property fund of in excess of £120M.
Will specialises in sourcing and acquiring development assets in all sectors across the UK.
He is a Chartered Surveyor with over 10 years’ experience in the property market. After graduating at The University of Reading he started his career at King Sturge and latterly working as a Director in the JLL London Capital Markets Development Team advising on disposals and acquisitions on a range of property asset classes throughout the UK. Will is also the founder of PropSki, the UK’s largest property focussed ski networking forum trip.
Jonny joined Barwood Capital having graduated with a first-class degree on the BSc (Hons) Real Estate course at Nottingham Trent University. In November 2018, he passed his APC qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor.
He assists the property team with the asset management of existing projects and through appraising new opportunities.
Prior to Barwood, Jonny has gained experience in the Valuations department at Lambert Smith Hampton and the National Industrial and Logistics team at Cushman and Wakefield.
Hitesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has an MBA in Business Administration and over 15 years of financial management and commercial accounting experience. Hitesh was previously Head of Financial Reporting at FKI Plc, a FTSE listed company and at KPMG in Audit and Advisory services.
Joe is primarily responsible for Barwood’s planning and forecasting requirements having attained over six years experience within the commercial property market. As well as accounting, Joe also plays an active role in implementing and maintaining Barwood’s IT infrastructure.
Jill joined the finance team in February 2018 and is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant. Jill’s previous roles include Financial Accountant at Travis Perkins Plc and Management Accountant at Grant Thornton UK LLP.
Cerys is responsible for purchase ledger control and is AAT Level 3 qualified, she also has an NVQ Level 2 in Business & Administration.
Hayley has over 14 years customer service experience and has a Business & Administration qualification. Hayley manages investor relations for all Barwood Capital’s Funds and Fund raising. She also helps create all the marketing materials for the company, liaising with our PR advisers and manages our social media and the website.
Heather joined the Barwood team in October 2017 and manages Reception and oversees the smooth running of the office. Heather works Monday to Thursday.
