Barwood Commercial Property Fund has purchased 252 Bouverie Square in Milton Keynes from CBRE Global Investors for £1.6m. This three storey office building extends to 22,300 sq ft and sits in the Central grid of MK, a short distance from the train station. The property is let to Howes Percival Solicitors for a further 15 months, albeit they are not in occupation of the majority of the space.
Following vacation of Howes Percival, Barwood intends to comprehensively refurbish the property, delivering a standalone Grade A office building back into an increasingly competitive occupational market within Central Milton Keynes. Ed Henson of Barwood Capital explained, ‘BCPLP has secured an excellent opportunity to reinvent 252 Bouverie Square, which has all the attributes to a deliver an outstanding office building. Building on Barwood’s reputation for delivering high quality product, we look forward to offering an occupier an exceptional corporate home’.
Roger Yates of Bidwells commented ‘If a newly refurbished 252 Bouverie Square was available now, it would be the only Grade A standalone 20 – 25,000 sq ft building in Central MK. Take up figures are now reaching 2007 levels as corporates begin to shake off the past few years of containment and begin to plan for their future growth’.
