Barwood Capital, a leading UK real estate investment and development business, has appointed Guy Brogden as non-executive director.
Guy founded, and until February 2014, was chief executive of Mayfair Capital, a property investment fund management business which in April 2015 had around £800m of assets under management. During the 15 years that the Company has been operating, his roles embraced fund raising, investor relations, business management, fund management, finance, compliance and transactions. He was also responsible for relationships with banks to secure loans. Guy stepped down from Mayfair Capital in July 2015 to pursue non-executive roles.
Before setting up Mayfair Capital, Guy spent 25 years as a commercial property investment surveyor based in Central London. Amongst other posts he was an investment partner at Jones Lang Wootton (now JLL). During this time he helped to establish one of the most successful property investment brokerage teams in the UK.

Guy has been involved in a large number of high profile transactions, buying, selling, and previously providing advice to many of the largest property owners in the UK including Land Securities, Prudential, Aviva and RREEF. At Mayfair Capital he had an outstanding track record in building a property fund management business, with a broad range of institutional, charity and private investors focusing on UK real estate. Guy is a member of The RICS, The Investment Property Forum, Honorary Surveyor to The Worshipful Company of Farmers and enjoys many extracurricular activities.
