Barwood Capital has an outstanding track record and manages funds that have invested in more than £175m of regional property assets, delivering returns to investors between 12%-20% per annum.
Sue Clayton is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has more than 30 years’ experience in the UK property investment markets. She is an executive director of CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, and a former managing director of its Capital Markets’ division. Barwood Property Fund 2017 will be a closed ended, five year fund which will create prime income producing investments in the UK regional markets outside central London from under managed land or buildings. The Fund will have a potential size of £150 million with leverage and target property assets, particularly in the industrial/logistics sector, with the potential for significant value to be added through planning and development expertise and active asset management. The fund was launched in October 2016 and commitments for over a third of the target equity raise have already been received.
Joanna Greenslade, managing director, Barwood Capital said: “We are delighted to welcome Sue to chair our new 2017 fund. Sue’s vast UK property investment experience will be a huge asset to both our fund and investors. She shares our values in providing exceptional personal service underpinned by a strong property investment and development track record.”
Sue Clayton added: “I look forward to working with the Barwood Capital team in this role and to the creation of the new Fund. My experience in the national investment markets should enable me to make a strong contribution to what is an attractive and timely new Fund, capitalising on the strong commercial property market activity currently happening outside London.”
