Our Sustainability Framework, developed with the help of all employees, is based on four guiding principles that we have incorporated into every aspect of our business.
Our Sustainability Framework, developed with the help of all employees, is based on four guiding principles that we have incorporated into every aspect of our business.
We will become a carbon-neutral business.
We promote health and wellbeing across our assets.
We focus on social wellbeing for all our stakeholders.
We maintain a strong and transparent governance framework.
We have calculated our emissions, taken steps to reduce them where possible, and invested in Gold Standard schemes to offset our residual carbon. Our aim now is to take an industry-leading approach to cutting the carbon emissions of our projects, and are working with a leading firm of advisers on this. In the meantime, we have set BREEAM and EPC targets across the portfolio within our overall sustainability framework.
We hold ourselves accountable to the highest-possible business standards and are signatories of the United Nations-supported Principles of Responsible Investment (UNPRI), and members of the Good Business Charter and the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC).
We recognise the duty we have to our society and are always looking for ways we can contribute our time to benefit others. This includes supporting a Charity of the Year chosen by our employees.
In 2023/2024, we will be supporting:
The Towcester Food Larder - a community larder network that partners with local supermarkets, businesses and food surplus providers to distribute affordable food throughout the community and reduce food waste.
We also support our employees in their desire to help others by allowing additional paid leave each year to volunteer for a charity of their choice.
