Barwood Capital's Initiative to Recognize Hard Work

At the beginning of this year, Barwood Capital introduced a formal staff recognition scheme called The ACR’s; aptly named because it is an acronym for our values; adventurous, committed and respectful.  Staff members are nominated by their fellow colleagues for the quarterly award.   The winner of the award is decided by the judging panel, made up of our chairman Guy Brogden, founder, Joanna Greenslade and managing director, Hugh Elrington.

We are pleased to announce the winner of the Q1 award was Tom Darby, Investment Analyst. Nominated by Jonny Ellerington.

Jonny nominated Tom for his ‘outstanding contribution and sense of ownership for the appraisals of projects’, particularly after a staff change when there could have been a knowledge gap.

Upon receiving the award and prize of a £200 gift voucher, Tom said; I am delighted to have been nominated for, and won, the first ACR award. This is a great initiative by Barwood Capital, and it means a lot to be recognised for the appraisal and analysis work that I have done over the last quarter. I am glad to have the opportunity to continue improving my skills and I look forward to contributing more to this fantastic team.
