Barwood Capital Maintains Growth Plans With Four New Recruits

In the last three months, we have expanded our team to 23, recruiting a further four people to our growing business.
Adam Smith has joined as asset management director from Warehouse REIT where he was responsible for the asset management of all assets in the Midlands and Yorkshire regions. He has 13 years’ regional UK experience which includes the management of the UK industrial portfolio of a pan-European investment fund on behalf of Blackstone. Adam will provide hands-on active asset management across a range of assets throughout the UK.
Nick Blackmore has joined as business development director having previously worked at both the Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes’ Chamber of Commerce. Nick has over 25 years’ business development experience and is responsible for building relationships and fundraising with both existing and new investors as well as increasing the company’s digital presence.
Tom Darby has started as investment analyst supporting the transactions and asset management teams across the commercial and residential sectors.
Steph Herbert has joined as finance assistant to support the finance team.
Barwood Capital has seen continued year on year growth and has recently raised nearly £50 million for its latest property fund, the Growth Fund IV, a five-year closed ended fund with a target investor IRR of 13-15% per annum, that is investing in UK regional property, driven by significant ongoing changes in technology, infrastructure and demographics.
