Richmond Park development marks a 10th joint venture milestone for Barwood Capital and Kidbrook Homes
Work has started on a new development of 13 apartments at Kingston Hill, adjacent to Richmond Park, by Kidbrook Homes – marking the 10th project by the developer to be backed by Barwood Capital and the Barwood Residential Investment Platform (BRIP).
The apartments have been designed to a high-quality standard and features such as heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points, solar electricity panels and indoor and outdoor cycle storage will be incorporated into the homes to support energy efficiency and sustainability.
BRIP provides equity to SME residential property developers and typically focuses on schemes of between 5-20 properties in attractive areas of high demand. The platform currently has almost 450 homes at varying stages across the UK. Projects by Kidbrook Homes have featured in each BRIP investment package to date.
“Forming long term relationships with experienced developers such as Kidbrook Homes has been an important focus for the Barwood Residential Platform, which invests in a range of high-quality schemes in select locations around the country,” said Steve Chambers, Head of Residential at Barwood Capital.
“Our longstanding partners know the criteria we work to and so can concentrate on finding sites that will match up to deliver profits for them and for our investors. We have around 130 high net worth investors at present and around 70% reinvest each time a scheme is concluded and profits are distributed.”
To celebrate the start of this latest project and the longstanding partnership between Barwood and Kidbrook Homes, Steve Chambers, Head of Residential at Barwood and William Togher, Founder and Managing Director at Kidbrook Homes met on site to hold a breaking ground ceremony.
“We are very proud to be delivering this extraordinary acquisition in conjunction with Barwood Capital,” Togher commented.
“Having worked together for many years this mutually successful relationship continues to go from strength to strength. We are confident that this latest flagship development with be hugely sought after and provide much needed new homes. Its historic Richmond Park setting will sit well within our current portfolio and contribute to the continued growth of Kidbrook Homes.”
Kidbrook Homes was founded by Togher in 2005. Since then, it has grown organically to become a multi-award winning and highly successful residential developer.
Operating in Surrey and South West London, Kidbrook Homes currently has in excess of £30m GDV in construction and is actively looking for additional sites of between 5 to 50 units. For more information visit https://www.kidbrook.co.uk
