Barwood GPTW Certified for the Second Year in a row

100% Of Our Staff Are Proud To Work For Barwood Capital

We are delighted that for the second year in a row, we have been Great Place to Work® (GPTW) Certified, with 100% of our staff saying they are proud to tell others they work for Barwood Capital.

GPTW is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and the leadership behaviours proven to deliver market-leading revenue and increased innovation.  Validated employee feedback is gathered with GPTW’s rigorous, data driven “For All” methodology.

Comparing the results from the 2020 survey there has been marked increases, with  95% of people agreeing that there was an “Opportunity to get Special Recognition”, up 18% on last year.  This is probably because of the introduction of our quarterly staff recognition awards called The ACR’s at the beginning of 2021.  95% of people agreed that “We celebrate people who try new and better ways of doing things, regardless of the outcome”, again up 18% on last year and reflects our corporate values of being adventurous, committed and respectful.

We were pleased to score so highly in the wellbeing categories too, with 95% of people agreeing that the company “actively promotes mental and physical health” and the company “genuinely prioritises employee wellbeing”.

When asked “Is there anything unique or unusual about this company that makes it a great place to work?”, there were a number of similar comments; “The ability for anyone to speak to anyone about anything; There are no barriers, just one group all working together”; “Very flat hierarchy which makes collaboration between colleagues easy” and “There is a real sense of being one team”.

Hugh Elrington, managing director said: “We are thrilled to be Great Place to Work certified for a second year.  I am really happy with the results, in particular scoring so highly in the wellbeing category because the wellbeing of our staff is everything, and we have proactively put processes in place to support this”.

We are looking forward to a fantastic 2022, not least because of our recent move to new premises at Pury Hill Business Park in Northamptonshire, offering fantastic facilities and a new, collaborative office space.
